Created exclusively for the Dormition Fast and the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos.

The Eternal Theotokos Candle has been lovingly created to accompany one of the most beautiful and prayerful seasons of the Orthodox calendar, the Dormition Fast, as we prepare our hearts for the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos on 15 August.

This is more than a candle. It is a lasting keepsake, designed to remain in your prayer corner or home for years to come.

Unlike a traditional candle, the Eternal Theotokos Candle is designed to be relit time and time again. When the tea light has finished, simply replace it with a new standard tea light and continue your daily prayers with the same beautiful keepsake.

Every piece is individually handcrafted in Melbourne and features an icon of the Most Holy Theotokos (Panagia) beautifully displayed on the outside of the vessel. Inside, crystal-clear gel surrounds delicate preserved rose buds and elegant gold decorative pebbles, creating a timeless piece inspired by our Orthodox faith.

The gel candle itself is available in Gardenia, Rose or Traditional Livani (Frankincense). The tea light simply provides the flame and can be replaced with any standard tea light of your choice, whether scented or unscented.

An Exclusive First Release

For this inaugural release, only 60 Eternal Theotokos Candles have been handcrafted.

Each candle is individually made by hand, and due to the time, care and attention each piece requires, I currently have the capacity to create just sixty.

Once these sixty candles have found their homes, this collection will close.

While I hope to create another release in the future, I cannot promise when that will be. This makes each candle part of a truly limited collection, created especially for this year’s Dormition Fast.

Every Eternal Theotokos Candle is individually handcrafted, making each one beautifully unique. Small variations in the placement of the rose buds, decorative pebbles, fragrance, colour or the appearance of the gel may occur. Tiny bubbles or natural variations within the gel are part of the handmade process and do not affect the beauty or quality of your candle.
